Question (Q-57)
Is it permissible to perform several Tawāf without performing the Wājib units (Rak’āt) of Tawāf?

Answer:
It is Makrūh (disliked) to commence another Tawāf after completing a Tawāf without having performed two units (Rak’atain) of Wājib ut Tawāf. However, if it is a time when Salāh is Makrūh (disliked), for example after Salāt ul ‘Asr, then it is permissible to perform several Tawāf without having performed two units (Rak’atain) Wājib ut Tawāf. When the Makrūh (disliked) time has lapsed then it will be necessary to perform two units (Rak’atain) Wājib ut Tawāf for each Tawāf that has been performed. It is stated in Al Fatāwā Al Hindiyyah, Volume 1, Page 251,

ويکره له الجمع بين الاسبوعين بغير صلاة بينهما في قول أبي حنيفة و محمد رحمهما للّٰه تعاليٰ

“According to Abū Hanīfah and Muhammad (رضى الله عنهما), it is disliked for him to gather between two sets of seven rounds without performing Salāh (two units Wājib ut Tawāf) between them.”

Allah (تعالى) is Most Knowing.
